What are other people putting on their bricks?

Please visit our interactive virtual brick site at www.imaginemyNIUbrick.com for examples of personal messages created by other fans and to create and design your own unique message on a virtual NIU brick.

I am a parent of a former student-athlete; How do I order online?

Parents that are ordering a personal brick for themselves need to click on the “NIU Parent” button online.

Parents ordering for a child that was a former NIU athlete or is a current NIU athlete need to select "Former or Current Student Athlete (*Verified by NIU)" button online for special verification and identification on Student-Athlete bricks.

Can I put a personal image or graphic on my brick?

No; additional logos or graphics are not permitted.

Can I use a heart (or other special character) symbol?

No; special letters, fonts or symbols not found on a standard keyboard are not permitted.

Do you allow any lower case letters?

Only for name emphasis…for example, when the 2nd letter is lower case followed by upper case such as McDOUGALL, McFADDEN, etc.

How big are the letters on the brick?

The letter height is a half of an inch.

Do the messages automatically get centered on the brick?

Yes

How many letters fit on a line?

15 spaces per line for both the 4"x8" and the 8"x8" options. A space consists of a letter, number, blank space, or punctuation.

How many lines fit on a 4"x 8"?

You may have from 1-3 lines of text.

How many lines fit on an 8"x 8"?

You may have from 1-6 lines of text on the text only brick
You may have from 1-4 lines of text on the Huskie Logo brick

Can I change my inscription if I change my mind? Is there a fee?

Yes; you will receive a letter confirming your personal message with in 2-4 weeks of your order being processed. You will then have 10 days from the date of the letter to make changes. A $10 change fee may apply depending on changes.

What is the last date I can order?

Bricks are available in limited quantities and will sell out on a first come, first serve basis. The sales cut-off date is yet to be determined, so reserve your spot in the Jeffrey and Kimberly Yordon Huskie Pride Plaza today!

When does my credit card get charged?

Your card will be charged within 5-7 business days following the date your order is placed.

Have you received my order?

If you have not received an order/payment confirmation within 2 business days, please inquire about the status of your order by calling 1-855 NIU-FANS (648-3267) or send an email to niufanbricks@niu.edu.

When can I expect confirmation of my order?

You will receive an order/payment receipt via email within 5-7 business days following the date your order was placed. We recommend you watch closely for it in the event it is in your spam or junk mail.

Is there a discount for Special Groups?

No; due to limited quantities additional discounts will not be offered.

Can I purchase a gift certificate for a friend?

Yes, Gift certificates can be purchased online at http://www.niuhuskies.com/fanbricks or by calling 1-855-NIU-FANS (648-3267).

Is my purchase tax deductible?

Yes, a portion is tax deductible;
The 4x8 brick gift credit is $145
The 8x8 brick gift credit is $320
The 8x8 logo brick gift credit is $405

Is there sales tax?

No sales tax applies to the initial brick purchase with complimentary replicas; however an 8% state sales tax will apply to additional replicas and any display case purchases.

Can I pay by check?

Yes, Please make check payable to “NIU Huskies Legacy Brick Program”

Where do I mail my check?

Where will the proceeds from the bricks go?

Towards the construction of the Kenneth and Ellen Chessick Practice Center to support Huskie Athletics.

How many bricks are available?

Quantities are limited and will sell out quickly.

Can I choose where my brick is placed?

No, Brick placement will be determined by Northern Illinois University.

How will I know where my brick is?

After the bricks have been installed, a locator map will be available to assist you in locating your brick at the Jeffrey and Kimberly Yordon Huskie Pride Plaza.

When and where are the bricks going to be placed?

The bricks will be installed prior to Fall of 2014 and will be placed in the Jeffrey and Kimberly Yordon Huskie Pride Plaza.

REPLICAS / DISPLAY CASES

What is the replica made of?

- The replica is made of the same material as the installed brick paver. Colors may vary slightly.

Can a Replica be shipped to a different address?

Yes, with the exception of P.O. & A.P.O. Box addresses.

How long does it take to get my replica?

Replicas are expected to be engraved and shipped within 10-12 weeks from the date the order is processed and approved by NIU.

Can I pay to have my replica expedited?

Yes; please call 1-855-NIU-FANS (648-3267) for pricing.

Where is my replica brick?

If you have placed an order more than 12 weeks ago and have not received a shipment tracking notification, please email niufanbricks@niu.edu or call 1-855-NIU-FANS (648-3267).

Can I order additional Replica Display Cases after I have placed my order?
